Rolling Pin Wins Cameron Handicap 2012 – Results

September 20th, 2012

Rolling Pin has won the Group 3 Cameron Handicap at Newcastle Racecourse, which ran yesterday September 19, 2012.

The five-year-old has now won seven of his 22 race starts and has earned more than $280,000 in prize money.

Rolling Pin won the 2012 Cameron Handicap by a head in front of Lightinthenite, who placed second, and Offenders, who ran home for third.

Jockey Christian Reith was ecstatic with Rolling Pin’s performance in the 2012 Cameron Handicap.

“I wanted to get cover but he began so well and I let him stride for the first furlong,” Reith said.

“Coming to the corner I gave him a bit of rein and he surged underneath me.

“He found enough to get away from them and they were never going to run the time required to beat him.”
